ShowPDX: A Decade of Portland Furniture Design

ShowPDX was a retrospective exhibition, collecting the winners of ten years of Show, a Portland juried furniture design invitational. An event which was already well branded. I took the opportunity to push the brand a bit further. Each piece was represented by a cube that represented its cubic dimensions.

Materials produced included a catalogue/poster on newsprint, exhibition collateral and a suite of ads.

The wireframe chair icon designed by fix studios.

Exhibition view, showing the split intro wall(s).

A woodgrained postcard invitation for the Member's Preview and the newsprint show catalogue.

The catalogue unfolded.

Each furniture cube incorporated a unique perpective based on where it was positioned on the poster.

The back of the poster. Text was the exhibition's intro essay and didactics.

The object labels included the dimensional cube as well.
