MFA Programs Miscellaneous
The graduate programs required a steady stream of posters, one sheets, etc.. Non-existent budgets and in-house short-runs allowed for freedoms and possibilities a larger piece wouldn't. These pieces were typically done at 12"x18" - they were often too wordy, twelve and eighteen divide nicely, and 12"x18" ain't 11"x17". Printing in-house allowed for each poster to be unique or to be easily reconfigured.
